Watson certainly has a track record in making distasteful remarks. He has on many previous occasions voiced unpalatable views tinged with racism and sexism, ranging from a desire to see a world full of genetically engineered pretty girls to his belief that sex drive is related to skin colour. He has been largely indulged over the years, mostly in light of his towering achievement of 54 years ago in helping to deduce the structure of DNA, his ensuing Nobel prize, and his role in founding the Human Genome Project.

That desire to see a world full of genetically engineered pretty girls and guys, just don’t be sexist, is much preferable then “plastic surgery girls” who certainly can not transmit the “silicone gene” to descendants.
And what’s that “sex drive related to skin color” about? Some taint would do? Or UV sessions?
Come on, there must be some genetics based way to become black! I mean melanin producer, not just tattoo covered or suntanned.
Wha! Plenty of GM people around, maybe some with fluorescent skin and maybe keratinocyte tattoos responding to hormonal condition and displaying “f*ck me I’m hot” signs around.
Why do you think he participated in founding the Human Genome Project? To make that possible probably. OK, I’m kidding, but I’m not sure.
